Ok, I got one of these pedals a couple days ago, and I must say that
it more than lives up to the hype going around about it.
It is called a Through Zero Flanger (TZF) which means it is capable of
sweeping through total cancellation, like with two tape machines,
which lets you do live what Jimi and Eddie Kramer did in the studio.
I've just been playing with it for a few hours and have gotten some
of the heaviest, most toothy sounds I have ever heard.
Yes, it does clean well. Lots of pretty chorus, phase and flange
sounds, but where it really shines is with heavy stuff. You need
to get your distortion from a pedal (or use the TZF in a loop and
distort the front end of your amp) becasue the TZF wants to
process the distorted sound, not the clean sound. Oh, and it sounds
absolutely outrageous in stereo.. Unbelievably heavy sounding,
ugly, and gorgeous at the same time.
Coming to a new CD near you, guaranteed.
This thing is so good, you will wish you had the only one <grin>
and there are lots of new sounds that will help you write new tunes
in there as well.

Click on Paradox TZF. Check out the samples, and think of this:
It's better than the samples...

BTW, it's analog bucket brigade chips and all... I hope he has a big
stock of them.
