I scored a good price on an RME 9652 yesterday, and installed it in my Mac. Now I'm trying to get the Logic that's running on that Mac to slave to ADAT sync coming from PARIS - so far no joy. Can this be done?
Setup so far: Dual G5 with Logic + RME 9652
PC with 2 EDS, 2 MEC - MEC 1 = 2x 8i, MEC 2 = one ADAT card
Serial cable connecting the two ADAT sync jacks
2x ADAT cables bidirectionally connecting RME ADAT 1-8 with PARIS ADAT module.
1x WC cable between MEC 1 & 2. No word clock cable/termination between MEC and RME (I'll grab it tomorrow).
I'm beginning to suspect the answer is "not without converting to MTC". Anybody know any different?

Windows only: Cubase/Nuendo and Samplitude/Sequoia. Or in other words: the software that supports ASIO Positioning Protocol.

[I should mention that this Windows Only list is older and incomplete, and should also include MOTU's AudioDesk, and now Reaper too - K]
SO - what I seem to have discovered here:
On Windows: Cubase/Nuendo/Samplitude/Sequoia/Reaper will sync to PARIS' ADAT sync out (assuming you have a sound card with an ADAT sync in).
On Mac: MOTU's AudioDesk and Digital Performer will sync to PARIS' ADAT sync out.
Once anyone who knows any different weighs in, I'll get this up on the Wiki for the benefit of the unwary (not unlike myself).

Reaper is an appealing application, especially the routing options. I depend pretty heavily on the Cubase 5 control room function for cue mixes which is a bit more streamlined and functionally flexible than using auxes pf. I'd have to check the options for cue mixing in Reaper. Also, until I move to something like a Mackie controller, I'm getting a very satisfactory performance out of my Steinberg Houston which only really integrates well with Cubendo. I'm pretty locked into the Steiny scenario right now. If ID releases a new DAW, I'll be doing some reconfigurations, but for now, with the computer I have here, Cubase 5 is working well enough for me that the idea of moving to an application like Reaper sorta' seems more like a parallel move which would require me to buy a new DAW controller than any kind of upgrade. Then again, I can't really say that I'm that up to speed on Reaper. Maybe I'm missing out.
