So, after over 7 years with Paris I finally got around to using FreeForm mode
on my latest project recording the awesome percussionist Kofi Kari Kari for
what will be a an album with a new band Nero (English alternative folk with
hints of jazz/rock/classical/and more).
Woah. Freeform has seriously speeded up the editing and tracking process
- great when you're dealing with lots of alternative takes, or lots of takes
of the same thing thru multiple microphones.
Can't believe I didn't try it earlier. (I was afraid of switching back to
constrained mode and losing other takes; it never occured to me that I could
just leave it in freeform mode). For those who've not delved, it really doesn't
take long to get your head around...
