Hi DJ,
I'm glad I could help. I researched the shit out of trying to find one someone
who sold/made them, and Bob was the only guy I could find. I ended up paying
$120 for a used one because I couldn't get the specs from Magma to give to
Bob.
Would you mind posting the specs when you get the new cable back from Bob?
I'll probably order a spare from him just in case mine bites the dust.

No way dude.........I'm going to corner the market on these, advertize them
on EBay and make a killing off all the poor schmucks like you and me who
have bad Magma cables and then I can retire. It's gonna cost you $250.00!!!
(seriously though........I'll be glad to share this ;o)
Bob said that to the best of his knowledge, the 80 pin microcentronics
cables were wired straight through. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Hi Migel,
I'm not sure when, but at some point, Magma switched from custom made 80
pin ribbon style cables to connect the host and system cards to a standard
68 pin scsi cable. Unortunately, people like me got "great" deals on the
older style of chassis, only to run into the severe shortage of the older
cables. Magma doesn't sell, support, or even provide specs for the older
cables anymore.
Hopefully, DJ will report success in having one custom made.

Rats, too bad. When I purchased a pair of older Avid Magma 7 slot;
I got heavy flat type cable but the 3M connectors count are 68.
dunno know if I'm lucky or what?

I'd count the pins again. It sounds like you've got the 80 pin cables. But,
I'm no expert.
Let's hope, for your sake, that they are 68 pins. Much easier to replace
the cables that way.
